PM Service Description
What is
Preventive Maintenance?
Preventive Maintenance is a scheduled service interval that can involve
specific tests, adjustments, measurements, lubrication, repair and an overall evaluation on the condition of the
equipment. The intended purpose of Preventive Maintenance is to prolong the life of the equipment & wear parts
and to discover possible failures or significant wear that could result in a costly, unintended and even dangerous
breakdown. A PM allows for a scheduled repair if the repair is too lengthy or costly to perform during the
scheduled PM. The PM also allows for the equipment to be put out-of-service if the condition is deemed dangerous to
be put back in immediate use.
Preventive Maintenance is the most important program you can implement
in your health club that directly relates to the longevity and quality of your equipment investments. Most
fitness equipment on the market use parts that wear over time. These "wear parts" need proper inspection,
lubrication and adjustments at specified intervals. An effective PM program can maximize the intended life
span of wear parts and determine the proper time to schedule a repair
when required. PM programs and subsequent scheduled repairs eliminate costly and untimely equipment failures or
"breakdowns" that can adversely effect your daily operations.
We provide professional, quality
services on top brands such as Star Trac, Lemond and Schwinn.
The safety level given by the design of equipment can
only be maintained when the equipment is regularly examined for damage and wear. Inoperable
components should be replaced immediately or the equipment should be put out of use until it is
repaired.

heads off of the bolts if you over-tighten. Torque specs vary from makes and models so check your owners or
service manuals for the proper torque settings. Implementing an Indoor Cycle Maintenance and Repair Preventive Maintenance program will maximize the
